Saturday Guitar tuition/workshops
Hi - starting Saturday September 15th 2012, I will be running guitar tuition and workshops in contemporary music at Crown Street in Brentwood Essex.
Firstly, there will be a starter guitar course, 30minutes a week for four weeks, covering initial guitar facts and providing hands-on tuition to get actually playing guitar. We will also be exploring different styles played on the instrument, with clear ideas of what kind of study will be needed to play varied styles of music, and to achieve levels of proficiency. Fee will be £30 all inclusive.
Secondly - there will be one-to-one tuition available (covering grades or examinations if required) centering on contemporary music. Duration of half hour or an hour to meet pupils expectations, price will be £15hh or £30ph.
Thirdly - there will be various workshops delivered centering on particular aspects of guitar playing, "Lead and Rhythm playing combined", "Lead Guitar Mechanics", "Beginning Gypsy Jazz Guitar" and "Country Lead Guitar Playing" being some of the topics covered. I am hoping that there will be suggestions - please feel free to suggest topics! Prices will be governed by demand and how much time goes into the workshop. Current workshops are £30 and last for two and a half hours.
Lastly there will be a clinic at the end of the day for prospective pupils to drop in, explore ideas, get advice, and guage suitability for pupils and parents on any guitar related topic.
If you are interested - email is robblackman@mac.com, mobile is 0781 266 2839 - please feel free to inquire.
